Resilience Training for Veterans, Active Military and their Families - Project Welcome Home Troops
Traditional treatments for veterans’ PTS are currently insufficient. A recent study shows that only 50% of veterans who undergo the traditional treatment show signs of recovery. There is clearly an urgent need to provide alternate methods of helping returning veterans reclaim their lives. More than 150 program leaders are currently engaged in working with veterans in the US, India and Europe to help provide relief from chronic and traumatic stress using Art of Living’s scientifically backed breath-based meditation techniques.
These powerful techniques address the root of the extreme stress of military life including: multiple deployments, traumatic loss and reintegration with family and community.
- Hosted in Veterans Affairs Hospitals and Centers across 30 cities in the USA.
- Research out of the Palo Alto VA shows that SKY Breath Meditation was effective in treating PTSD at the end of treatment and one year post-treatment.
- Featured in two award winning documentaries - Almost Sunrise and Free the Mind.

Special emphasis is given to developing confidence, leadership, interpersonal skills, and human values. 90% of students stay in school, compared to India’s national average of 37%.

Empowering Children
K-12 - Sky Schools
Young people face emotional issues such as low self-esteem, depression and anxiety that are a source of great stress, which inhibits learning. Without alternatives, students often turn to unhealthy strategies to cope with these problems. SKY Schools is dedicated to providing young people with a healthy body, mind and lifestyle.
We do this by offering youth practical tools and life skills to manage stress and emotions. When students learn how to manage their stress in a healthy way, they exhibit greater confidence and motivation to succeed in school and make healthy choices when faced with life’s challenges.
In the United States today, 35 program leaders are working in 34 schools reaching more than 17,700 students. Over 950 SKY Schools teachers have been trained since 2008 reaching over 350,000 students across North and South America and Europe.
